Thank you for your comments in last week’s blog. Spring is a season that renews our energy and hope. It has been a year since our lives were turned upside down, but spring gives us hope that things will be better. I’m excited for spring and all it will bring.
March is Women’s History Month, and this past Monday we celebrated International Women’s Day. So often our achievements, leadership, courage and strength have gone unnoticed. However, women have been strong, courageous leaders since the beginning of time. We have great examples of women throughout history who believed in a cause and fought for it–opening the doors for a better tomorrow for all of us.
Think of Esther, standing up to the King for her people. I’m sure she was scared. Rahab, the prostitute in the city of Jericho, who hid the spies and lied to the soldiers who were looking for them. She was a harlot who became a heroine. Corrie ten Boom helped many Jews during the war by hiding them. Rosa Parks of the Civil Rights movement, best known for not giving up her seat on a segregated bus. Mother Teresa selflessly loved and cared for others. Of course, the list is a lot bigger than this, but these women are great examples to us. They paved the way.
Today we are the women who are paving the way for the next generation. How will we change the world, and what changes do we want to see in the world, or in our families and communities? We fortunately live in a time when we have more opportunity than in previous historical periods to instigate change through our professions–be it as performers, professors, scientists, doctors, educators, entrepreneurs, presidents, peacemakers.
In a world of chaos, hurt and fears, what do you think is the most important thing we can leave for the future of women to come? For me, it’s my faith in God. It’s being the woman He has created me to be. To use all the gifts He has given me to serve other women. I believe with all my heart that He has a purpose and plan for each one of us. When we are doing what He has called us to do, we can change our communities and the world. It won’t be easy, but something worth fighting for has never been easy.
Women have so much to offer: faith, compassion, empathy, encouragement, strength, knowledge, wisdom, love, resilience. We owe so much to the women who came before us and paved the way. Let’s unite and leave the next generation a better path to walk. With faith, prayer and encouragement, we can do a lot and make a difference. We can make the future even brighter.
What is the difference you want to make? Leave it in the comment section below.
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

Thank you Marie
You’re welcome
You’re welcome. Amazing the women that have come before us. We can learn so much. May we be the next generation of Godly women to lead the way.
I want others to know I can love them because God first loved me.
Yes because God loved us first. That’s how we love others. Your love shows through with everything you do.
I hope that I will be able to help others by sharing my own experiences. Faith, strength and courage was God’s gifts to me in the most difficult time in my life.
giving me through hard times. Strength and courage
God is always faithful to give us what we need at the right time. He will give you the opportunity to share.
“The hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world.” BUT not on her own, “all things through Christ in me.” He elevates us to “stand on the heights”. Thank you for this timely honoring of the Women of God who came before us!
