I hope you’re enjoying spring as much as I am! So far, it’s been fun and relaxing!
This week, my husband Hank and I are visiting our oldest daughter in North Carolina–my home state! It’s nice to be home.
Before we left our home in New Jersey, there were a few last-minute chores I wanted to complete including running the dishwasher. In my haste, I put a plastic cup on the top shelf of the dishwasher. It took on a whole new shape and strength after running through the cycle!
After being washed and dried, the cup was actually much stronger and still usable though shaped differently. The heat of the dishwasher had morphed and solidified the plastic.
It reminded me of some of the difficult times or “storms” I’ve experienced in my life. As I was going through them, I’d sometimes lose sight of my faith and hope. I thought I’d never make it through, but I did. God is faithful and He never lets me go. One of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
After walking through life’s storms, I, like the cup through the dishwasher, am not the same person. The experience has reshaped me, given me a new look and a new strength. My outlook on life is different, my faith is stronger, my resilience is solidified, and I stand taller and more confident. When the next storm comes, I’ll walk through it with more bravery because I know that with God, I’ll come out on the other side better than I was before.
A difficult storm in life can lead us on an exciting, beautiful journey. It can also give us the strength to help and encourage others going through their storms.
Never give up.
What have your storms taught you?
The storms of my life at time where very rough Like Katrina Dark winds beating my mind
Drugs beating my body. Then the sun rises That is because I put my hand out and asked for prayer. Then the sun shines wind calm That’s God Loving me He never fails He makes me strong when the storm weakens me .with each passing day I’m stronger I feel His Love Heal me. Thank God I never give up I do not have to experience any storm alone The Lord Holds my hand He Lifts me up He never gives up Thank you Lord and thank you Marie for your love and kindness and ❣❣❣
God is always there for you. You are right, He gives us the strength when the storms try to push us down and weaken us. He well never give up on you or me.

We will all go through storms in life, if we wouldn’t go through storms, we wouldn’t grow and come to maturity. Its a time of growing and healing.
So true Karyn. We need the storms to grow and mature in our faith.
My storms in life have taught me that even though I might not like what is going on God is always there with me and I can get through it even when it feels like I can not. I pray and journal to get through and when I do it is almost always for the better. Thank you Marie
Yes, God is always there to walk through the storm with you.
Storms can also teach me more about God’s love for me.
Yes, I agree. The more we understand His the more we can share it.
