If you were a flower, what kind would you be?
I love that question because I love flowers. Their colors, fragrance, and uniqueness bring me joy. No two are exactly alike. Each one has its own beauty and purpose.
As I was working in my garden, I found myself thinking about the familiar saying, “Bloom where you are planted.” Then I found myself asking,
“Am I becoming the woman God created me to be?”
Flowers never compare themselves to one another. A rose doesn’t wish it were a daisy, and a sunflower doesn’t try to become a lily. Each one simply grows where it has been planted.
What a beautiful reminder for us.
God has created each of us with our own gifts, personality, and purpose. He knows exactly where we will grow best. Our part is not to become someone else, but to remain connected to Him.
God isn’t asking us to bloom like anyone else. He’s inviting us to become the woman He created us to be.
May we simply trust the Master Gardener.

I am a DAHLIA*! I tuck away in the winter in order to recharge, gain (inner-strenth, love and dignity)* for the BLOOMING floral, garden & event seasons of Summer & Fall.
LOVE IT. Like your Dahlia’s you are strong, beautiful, and you bring joy wherever you go.
Quite insightful!!! I need to think about what flower I would be!!!
I see you as a fragrant red rose.
Love it. I’m leading an Embracing Purpose group. I plan to read it to them tomorrow. Pat
