Celebrating Women

“You are God’s Masterpiece”

Ephesians 2:10

Last week, I had a lot of fun with my grandson and his friend for their February break. We went snow tubing and bowling and to the movies. So much energy! I loved it. I’m blessed that my grandson enjoys spending time with me and now brings his friends.

We’ve said goodbye to February and hello to March! March is an exciting month: spring is in the air, and it’s one of my favorite seasons. It’s also my birthday month 🙂  I have robins in my backyard and my hyacinths are peeking up. Are you ready for the seasonal shift?

March is also the month we celebrate Women’s History Month. As I was thinking about the women whom we celebrate, I was wondering what gave them the strength to keep going and not give up. They were determined to make a difference, and it wasn’t easy for them. What helped them to develop into the best they could be? Was it their faith, commitment, desire for more freedom, better education for themselves and their children, improved working conditions, or all of these combined? They took chances and tried new things; they pursued opportunities to learn; they listened and had a willingness to accept criticism. It was a different time period, but I’m sure they had some of the same challenges we have today. Did they get laughed at, ridiculed? Yes, but they stood up to naysayers, they changed their thinking, they stayed focused on their vision. They encountered many defeats, but they weren’t defeated. It took a lot to be brave, bold and fearless.

We’re the women who stand on their shoulders and pave the way for the next generation. It’s not an easy task, but to honor women from biblical times to today, we must keep going and not give up. We have so much to offer; we keep our communities strong. How can we honor the women who came before us? We can have a strong faith in God; we can be women of character and integrity; we can encourage and inspire each other; we can become the best at what we do and never give up.

Let’s unite and leave the next generation a better path to walk. With faith and prayer, we can make the future even brighter.

    Encouraging blog marie!
    The difference I want to
see is to be able to maintain
the joy of the Lord through
    hardships and trials that
    come my way! There’s a
sign in my living room that
    summarizes how I feel it
    Says; Life isn’t about
    Only surviving the storms
But learning to dance in the
    rain!
    Ultimately the joy of the
Lord is my strength but as
    you pointed out Marie
    being connected with women
    who inspire you is vital!
    Marie you truly inspire me!
    I thank God for you!💕

    1. I love that quote. We know the storms of life are going to come. The strength that we get from the Lord to carry us through helps our faith to grow stronger. We can truly dance in the rain.
You are a great encouragement to me. I love our talks and sharing time.

      Blessings

God has given us so many great women of faith! My prayer is that God would grant me the courage of Deborah, the heart & faith of Mary and the creative business sense of Lydia! And, that my daughters would do even greater things for the Kingdom!
Thank you for being a great mentor, Marie!
